The devotees of Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir celebrated Janmashtami on 18 and 19 August, 2022 at Vrindavan and Gurugram. Sri Krishna Janmashtami is one of the most important festivals of Vrindavan. People from all over the world visit the divine abode of Lord Krishna to have His darshan on this auspicious day.
The temple was transformed into a beautiful Phool Bangla, Sri Radha Vrindavan Chandra were dressed in elegant Nav Poshak and adorned with fresh flower garlands. The deities were offered abhishekam, Chappan Bhog and Jhulan seva during the day. Grand celebrations were also organised at A DOT Convention Hall at Gurugram. Classical dancers from Rasik Performing Arts presented a beautiful Kathak performance for the pleasure of the Lord. This was followed by Ms. Maanya Arora’s enchanting bhajans glorifying Sri Krishna’s divine lilas. Sri Chanchalapathi Dasa, President, Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir, felicitated the artistes and gave an enlivening spiritual discourse on the occasion. The programme culminated with an elaborate midnight abhishekam and maha aarti to Sri Radha Vrindavan Chandra followed by the distribution of prasadam to all the devotees.
